Salsa on Saturday meets Sangria Sundays

How much fun is this! One of Canberra’s long-running salsa social nights is teaming up with one of the Capital’s newest salsa social afternoons for SOS meets Sangria Sundays.

SOS is excited to be hosting the social night for their special workshop weekend with Mercedes Olivera.

Upskill your dancing on Saturday with workshops presented by Sangria Sundays (info coming soon) and social dance to your heart’s content on Saturday night at SOS. See shows from Mercedes and Canberra’s own Las Reinas.

What about SOS? Glad you asked! Since 2014, SOS has been bringing one of the best Saturday night once-a-month socials to Latin Dancers in the ACT. We just came out of hibernation in the wake of covid and are overjoyed to be back!

What to expect:

4+ hours of social dancing, pre-party salsa workshop, performances, drinks, curated music from local DJs for your dancing pleasure, food and well…SOS!!!

We encourage, invite and support dancers from all studios to come and meet, mix, dance and get to know one another. All are welcome!

Theme: RED! Get out your best red anything! Dresses, skirts, pants, shirts, let’s paint the town RED!

Workshop:

At 7 pm come enjoy a Salsa workshop with a guest instructor. No partner is necessary. Be sure to check out Sangria Sundays special packages which include a number of workshops with Mercedes and the SOS Party is included in your full package.

Performances:

Come see Mercedes and Canberra’s own Las Reinas in action, it’s just a short set because we know everyone just wants to DANCE!
