ABOUT OUR GOAL

In 2021 we commenced a project to modernise the club.

Our mandate is to provide an environment where all Australians are welcome; whilst also keeping the Croatian culture alive for future generations. The first stage is the complete renovation of the upstairs O’Connor Knights bar, dance floor, offices, classrooms and function area.

We are excited to announce that we have been approved for an A.C.T government grant of up to $75,000 to upgrade our energy efficiency. This is dependent upon the club also contributing $75,000.

We have set up this Go-Fund-me page to help the club fund these and other restoration works.

Planned Energy efficiency works using the grant:

  • Installation of a new heating and cooling system for upstairs
  • Installation of ceiling Insulation upstairs
  • Installation of sub-floor insulation between the ground floor
  • Installation of insulation to the ceiling in the main hall
  • Upgrade of energy efficient lighting and electrical
  • Double Glazing upgrade to all windows throughout the club
  • Relocation of cool room compressors
  • Upgrade from gas to electric water boilers
  • Installation of window coverings throughout
